Breast Cancer Awareness – October

So here it is… every year I’ve always focused the month of October on Domestic Violence Awareness and really never did anything around Breast Cancer Awareness. It’s been heavy on my heart to do something this week so I started a kickstarter campaign. With your pledge we will be able to purchase ingredients to make 1000+ Klean Boobs soaps :). Yessssss!!! We will be blessing survivors and warriors of breast cancer with vegan soaps shaped as a boob :).

I can’t imagine how hard it is to fight this battle. I only witness it from afar as my mom passed away 12 years ago from her battle. Doing something whether big or small to put a smile on the faces of women everyday facing this battle will bring a smile to all those that take  part. Please take a moment to look at our campaign. Any amount is truly appreciated. “Klean Boobs” Breast Cancer Awareness Soaps https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/434876451/klean-boobs-breast-cancer-awareness-soaps also please share with others.

** pictured below is our domestic violence and breast cancer awareness ribbon soaps. We will have pictures for our Klean Boobs soaps soon and will post them when we do.

Thank you. xo Donata

Update

It’s been a long time since I have been on my personal blog but all is not lost… I’ve been updating the foundation’s blog on all the work we’ve been doing in the community. Take a look ADHDFDN.

Of course it’s never a dull moment with me. I always have a ton of ideas flowing through my mind to empower others. I am looking forward to announcing what I have brewing for Breast Cancer Awareness month. This is probably the first time I am doing something really special around breast cancer awareness. I have always focused the month of October for Domestic Violence Awareness but this month I’ll work on both :/. Yes October will be a busy month. Stay tuned… I’m excited!

Central Girls

Today was our last day working with the ladies from Central High School. It was a bitter sweet last workshop. We’ve watched the girls grow over the many workshops we’ve had with them. You never know the impact you can have on someone’s life with just a word of encouragement, a smile or a hug. They were blessed with the books and I asked after they read it to share with friends and family.

The work continues. Looking forward to doing some more workshops over the summer and up coming school year. Until then, what will you do to encourage, empower or elevate someone this week.

Love you all xoxo

Women of Purpose #3

I am so excited. Yesterday I got to meet with the 3rd group and these ladies where amazing. But what really stood out to me is that the mentors along with the girls got so much out of the workshop. You could feel the room was being empowered. Let’s just say you never know how something affects you from childhood until someone talks about it and it brings you to tears. Sometimes as adults we go through so much, things affect us in different ways and we don’t understand why. Childhood drama if not dealt with will affect the choices you make in your adult life. I’m so happy that I was able to meet with this group yesterday and to see how my story empowered so many.

Here are some pictures from yesterday’s program 2/14/2015.

First workshop 2/5/2015

Hello all,

We had our first workshop yesterday. This group started with 7 girls and will be adding more next session. The workshops are supposed to be one session 3 hours but these girls were so interested in all that I had to say about the book and life skills in general they asked for me to come back. So I will be conducting more workshops with them. My fear and blessing in disguise is that I have a feeling each group (12) will want more sessions. We’ll see how that goes. Whatever help they need I want to be available to assist them. Sometimes all they need is someone to open up to.

Here is to many teens that you have a part in making a difference in their life. xoxoxoxo THANK YOU.
